How long can I keep my coffee?Updated a year ago

In general, the best-before date is between 5 to 12 months after the coffee has been roasted. Nevertheless, this shelf life depends on a number of factors, such as the form of the coffee (whole bean, ground or already brewed), the type of coffee, storage conditions and the level of exposure to air, light and humidity. Here are some general guidelines:

Coffee beans: Whole coffee beans retain their freshness longer than ground coffee. You can generally store them for several months, even up to a year, in a cool, dry place away from light.

Ground coffee: Ground coffee has a shorter shelf-life than whole beans, due to the increased surface area in contact with the air. It is recommended to use it within two weeks to a month of grinding to ensure optimum flavor. Please note that your coffee is grounded when you order it !

Brewed coffee: Freshly brewed coffee tastes best when consumed immediately. If you have already brewed coffee, it's best to consume it within 1-2 hours of brewing. If it has to be stored, the refrigerator can help extend its life, but this can also alter its taste.

Storage: To maximize shelf life, store coffee in an airtight container, away from direct sunlight, excessive heat and humidity. Avoid storing coffee near strong odor sources, as coffee tends to absorb surrounding odors.

Good to know: Manufacturers generally indicate a roasting date, but it is also possible to indicate only the best-before date on the packaging.
